Born in a small town in rural Illinois just outside of St. Louis, Charity moved to Shreveport, Louisiana at the age of 13.  She studied Theatre and French at Centenary College and was in numerous productions at the Marjorie Lyons Playhouse.

Charity joined SAG after playing a flight attendant in Harold and Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay. She also worked in production on several films when Louisiana suddenly became Hollywood South. Getting a glimpse into the world behind the camera was a fantastic education in how movies get made and gave her a deep appreciation for the people behind the scenes who make it all happen.

In 2009, Charity made the big move to the Big Apple for an artistic internship at the Off-Broadway theater company Women’s Project. Despite the hideous winters, she quickly adopted Gotham as her new home—jumping in to the theater world with both feet, attending a ridiculous number of shows, readings, and workshops, house managing, ushering, taking acting classes, auditioning, working odd jobs, and loving every damn minute of meeting the extraordinary people who would become her New York family.

While attending her first burlesque show, Charity fell in love with the art form and has studied with some of the best performers in the business. She has had the honor of working as a stage kitten at The New York Burlesque Festival.  Oo la la!

Other interests include attending watching quirky outsider documentaries, traveling, reading - particularly about feminism & social justice, hunting down Tex-Mex and Southern food and consuming it with wild abandon, and posting photographs of obese cats on Facebook. Live-tweeting Hoarders earned her a (very) small social media following. Charity likes to claim that she is going to "start doing yoga again" but you should take that with a grain of salt. She also enjoys salt.

Some of Charity’s favorite roles include Vanda in Venus In Fur and Evelyn in The Shape of Things, two roles which afforded her the opportunity to stomp around stage in fabulous costumes while playing smart, sexy, passionate women. Charity has also found great joy in performing Shakespeare. Helena in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Adriana in The Comedy of Errors, and Rosalind in As You Like It allowed her to hone her skills as a classical actress and exercise her funny bone. Dream roles include Tamora in Titus Andronicus, Yelena in Uncle Vanya, and The Marquise de Merteuil in Les Liaisons Dangereuses.
